DOVESTONE HOLIDAY PARK LTD - Terms and Conditions

Please read this document carefully before you sign the booking form as you are entering into a contract with us. The booking form must be signed by a person over 18 years of age who agrees on behalf of all named persons to abide by this Contract.
 

1. Contract

A Contract shall come into existence only if and when we issue a hire invoice and booking confirmation. The Contract shall be deemed to have been made at our offices at Dovestone Holiday Park Ltd and be subject to English Law and the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts. These conditions of hire form the basis of our contract with you.
 

2. Terms

Prices apply from the week in which the greater number of nights are taken,VAT is included at 20%.
 

3. Parties

3.1 The booking must be made by somebody over 18 years of age and at least one adult has to stay in each lodge/pod. The total number of people occupying the lodge/pod must not exceed its stated capacity, (unless given written confirmation otherwise by Dovestone Holiday Park Ltd), although babies under two do not count for this purpose. Babies under 2 are not counted as a member of your party for this purpose. Any group or all male and all female parties are accepted only at our discretion and with our specific permission. We ask that all groups and single sex parties respect the need for privacy and quiet by other guests and noise is kept to a minimum by 10pm. We ask that all groups make us aware at the time of booking to enable us to locate you as closely as possible.
 
3.2 Should you arrive at the holiday park with a group which in our opinion does not meet these criteria we reserve the right to refuse the use of the accommodation. 
 
3.3 You will be asked to provide us with a credit card when you check in pay a security deposit at time of take-over.
 
3.4 Children remain the responsibility of their parents or guardians at all times in the lodges and pods. Please ensure that your children are supervised at all times.
 
3.5 We reserve the right to refuse to hand over accommodation to any person(s) who, in our opinion, is not suitable to take charge of it. In such cases, all hire charges paid will be refunded in full and the Contract shall be cancelled.
 
3.6 Noise, Unreasonable or aggressive behaviour will not be tolerated at Dovestone Holiday Park, which is a family park. We expect visitors to respect the privacy and unhindered enjoyment of the park by other visitors. There will be young children at the park who will go to bed early and we request that noise is kept to a minimum with no loud music allowed. All Noise must cease at 11.00pm and all hot tubs vacated by 10.30pm. If we receive complaints, or if in our opinion, any person(s) is not adhering to these terms or is unsuitable to continue the holiday because of unreasonable behaviour, damage to property, or annoyance to the holiday makers, then the Contract may be terminated. In this event The Manager and security guards will evict the hirer from the premises the hirer will be charged £150.00 security deposit and no refund will be due.
 
3.7 The accommodation must be left in a clean and tidy state when vacated and any breakages or damage to unit must be paid for before departure. We reserve the right to charge for any abnormal cleaning which may be necessary. All accommodation is non-smoking; an additional cleaning charge of £150 will be made to those who fail to observe this rule.
 
3.8 We have the right to enter any accommodation (without prior notice if this is not practicable or possible) if special circumstances or emergencies arise.
 
3.9 We reserve the right to provide alternative accommodation of (at least) an equivalent class, even when parties have been advised of their specific lodge number(s).
 

4. Payments

4.1 Deposit - When booking you must pay the Initial Payment due.
 
4.2 Balance - The balance is due 6 weeks before your holiday start date. For bookings made within 6 weeks of your holiday start date, the full monies are payable at the time of booking. If payment is not made according to these terms we reserve the right to cancel your holiday and retain the deposit paid.
 

5. Cancellation

5.1 If you have to cancel your holiday for any reason, send us written notification and your cancellation will be effective from the date of receipt. If you cancel more than 6 weeks before the start date your deposit will be forfeited.
 
5.2 If you cancel less than 6 weeks before the start of your holiday and have not taken out the Cancellation Guarantee Plan a refund will not be due.
 

6. Occupancy

Occupancy shall be from 4 pm on the day of arrival to 10 am on the day of departure, unless special arrangements have been made (the housekeepers have only a limited time to prepare the property for the next guest and you are asked to respect this).
 

7. Pets

7.1 Pets are welcome on payment of an additional charge of £30 per stay in a pet friendly lodge and £20.00 per stay in a pet friendly pod. There is no charge for guide dogs. Bring your pet basket with you and try to keep pets off bedding or other soft furnishings. Any damage caused by pets will be charged for.
 
7.2 When exercising your pet in the National the park or on any of the surrounding area, it must be on a lead. Please clean up any fouling without delay and do not allow your dog to urinate on the lawns within Dovestone Park.
 
7.3 In the interest of visitors’ safety, and following recent government legislation, we are sorry but we are unable to accept the following types of dog; American Pit Bull Terrier, Japanese Tosa, Fuila Brasileiro and Dogo Argentino even where these types of dog are muzzled as required by government legislation. Any other type of pet which could present a danger or alarm to other visitors is also excluded.

8. Hot Tub Terms and safety 

8.1 The hot tub may not be up to operating temperature on your arrival due to the water being changed. This can take up to 8 hours especially in winter months. No refund will be made should this occur. Hot Tubs must not be used after 10.30pm. Anyone that does not respect these rules will be evicted from the park by our Manager and security officers, they will also forfeit all of their security deposit.  
 
8.2 The signatory is responsible for making sure that all members of their party and their guests are aware of and strictly adhere to the guidelines. 
 
8.3 Risk to children - extreme caution must be exercised to prevent unauthorized access by under age children. The hot tub cover must remain closed at all times unless a responsible adult is present. No children under the age of 16 years are permitted in the hot tub as they cannot regulate their body temperatures suitably. Use of the hot tub by anyone under the age of 16 years is entirely at your own risk. Remind everyone that wet surfaces can be very slippery. Make sure everyone takes care entering and leaving the tub.
 
8.4 All tubs and filters are thoroughly cleaned and disinfected after every client so that you are receiving a totally clean and fresh hot tub. We also adjust disinfectant levels and take records every morning to ensure your hot tub stays in healthy condition throughout your holiday. However the Bromine can discolour the water and sometimes leave a ring around the tub, but this is normal and will cause no harm. No refund will be made should you feel the tub is not clean enough.
 
8.5 You MUST always shower before and after use. Please note perfumes, make up, hair products and fake tan can contaminate the water, if the water is contaminated in any way that results in us having to drop and refill your hot tub during your stay £50.00 will be charged from your security deposit. (£150 charge will be made should you allow a pet in the hot tub) 
 
8.6 You must not stay in the hot tub for more than 20 minutes as extended exposure to chlorine/bromine can cause burns and/or skin irritations. You have been warned of this and we do not accept liability for such skin irritations. Extended immersion in hot water can also result in hypothermia – a dangerous condition that occurs when the internal body temperature exceeds 37 degrees centigrade. Symptoms include unawareness of impending hazard, failure to perceive heat, failure to recognize the need to exit the tub, unconsciousness resulting in a danger of drowning.                         
                              
8.7 You must not stand or sit on the hot tub cover or allow children to do so, If the cover is broken during your stay £150.00 will be deducted from your security deposit. Do not drag the vinyl cover using the cover straps; always use the handles and you must replace the Hot tub cover when the tub is not in use (whether empty or full).
 
8.8 You must not jump into the hot tub, allow anyone to sleep in it, wear jewellery in the tub, and you must keep all loose articles of clothing away from rotating jets and other moving components.
 
8.9 You should not use drugs, alcohol or medication before or during hot tub use as this may lead to a danger of drowning.
 
8.10 People with infectious diseases must not use the hot tub. Persons using medication should consult their doctor before using the tub. Some medication may cause drowsiness. Do not use the tub if your medication induces drowsiness, affects your heart rate, blood pressure or circulation. Pregnant women, persons suffering from obesity, heart disease, low or high blood pressure, circulatory problems or diabetes should consult their doctor before using the tub.
 
8.11 You should not use the tub immediately after strenuous exercise and you should Test the water with your hand before entering the tub to make sure it is comfortable.
 
8.12 You must not attempt to open the electrical box, you must not use any glassware, any detergent or soaps in the tub or drink the water from the tub 
 
8.13 Everyone using the hot tub must have their own Insurance cover prior to using the hot tub we also recommend getting liability insurance cover for the hire period.
 
8.14 Dovestone Holiday Park Ltd will not be held responsible for injury or death however caused regarding the hire/use of the hot tub.
 

9. Vehicles

Your vehicles and their accessories and contents are left entirely at your risk. We will not be responsible for any loss or damage from or to any vehicle from any cause whatsoever other than in the case of negligence of our employees or agents.
 

10. Liability

We cannot accept liability for any damage, expenses, injury, death or loss of any nature whatsoever suffered by any person(s) from any cause other than in the case of the negligence of our employees or agents.
 
You are strongly recommended to take out appropriate personal insurance for your holiday.
 

11. Shortcomings

You must notify us of any shortcomings with your Lodge/pod immediately so that corrective action can be taken. We cannot accept liability in relation to any shortcomings or claim of whatever nature if you fail to notify us of any complaint or claim during your holiday and write to us within 28 days of the end of your holiday.
 

12. "Force Majeure"

We regret we cannot accept responsibility or pay any compensation where the performance or prompt performance of our contract with you is prevented or affected by reason of circumstances which amount to force majeure.
 
Circumstances amounting to force majeure include any event which we could not, even with all due care, foresee or avoid. Such circumstances include the destruction or damage of your holiday home (which cannot reasonably be remedied to a satisfactory standard before the start of your holiday) through fire, flood, explosion, storm or other weather damage, break-in, criminal damage or any similar event. Such circumstances also include riots or civil strife, industrial action, natural or nuclear disaster, fire, adverse weather conditions, war or threat of war, actual or threatened activity and all similar situations beyond our control.
 
In such an event we will endeavour to offer you alternative holiday accommodation if available. If we cannot do so or if you do not wish to accept the alternative we offer, we will refund all monies you have paid to us in full. Where any cancellation or change results from force majeure, our liabilities are limited to offering you an alternative holiday home (where available) or full refund as set out above. We regret we cannot pay any compensation or meet any expenses or costs you may incur as a result of any such cancellation or change.
 

RMS Online - Terms and Conditions

Cancellation penalties depend on Accommodation Provider policies. An administration charge (defined on the booking form) applies to all booking changes and cancellations.

  1. RMSOnline sells Accommodation Provider accommodation from an inventory supplied by each Accommodation Provider, and does not over-sell that inventory. RMS Online does not accept any liability for unavailability of rooms caused by the Accommodation Provider over-selling their own room inventory.
  2. The customer will be required to provide a credit card at check-in to cover incidental charges and may be required to provide photo ID.
  3. RMSOnline makes its best efforts to ensure that the information available on its web site is accurate. However, RMS Online cannot and does not guarantee that the site is free from errors or faults.
  4. RMSOnline does not accept liability for any errors or omissions and reserves the right to change information published on the site at any time.
  5. RMSOnline does not accept liability for any indirect or consequential loss arising out of the use of or connected with its web site or for any products or services purchased from its web site.
  6. RMSOnline makes no warranty or representation about the fitness or suitability of any product or service advertised on its web site.
  7. RMSOnline offers are not commissionable to registered travel agents.
  8. RMSOnline receives a payment from the Accommodation Provider for the provision of the RMS Online booking service.
  9. You must be at least 18 years of age to book Accommodation on RMSOnline.
  10. These terms do not affect consumers' statutory rights.
  11. Customer acknowledges that a third party ('card authoriser') will process the credit card transactions required in respect of a booking. Customer agrees that RMS Online is not liable for default by the card authoriser.
  12. Customer acknowledges that payment for the cost of accommodation will be held by RMS Online on behalf of the Accommodation Provider and remitted to the property on terms agreed between RMS Online and Accommodation Provider.
  13. Customer agrees to pay to RMS Online by debit to customers credit card account the specific booking fee & cost of the accommodation. All fees are GST inclusive. RMS Online will issue customer with a valid tax invoice in respect of this booking service.
  14. Bookings made through RMS Online by the customer are made on behalf of the Accommodation Provider. Customer agrees that Accommodation Provider has sole responsibility for delivery of the services being booked by the customer and that RMS Online is not liable for default by the Accommodation Provider. 
  15. Whilst every effort is made to ensure your requested room type is available, we cannot guarantee the actual bedding configuration of the room. These requests are forwarded to the Accommodation Provider and are subject to availability on day of check-in. All additional requests (smoking room, etc.) are also subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed by RMS Online.

Terms and conditions of bringing your dog on holiday

We allow guests to bring dogs to stay in our accommodation that are designated as pet friendly.  All our pet friendly lodges have an enclosed veranda or a gate.  All our pet friendly pods have a hook to tether the lead.

We want you and your dog to enjoy your holiday and our team are more than happy to advise you about local walks and pet friendly places to eat and attractions in the area.

To ensure that you and other guests enjoy your holiday, please adhere to the following.

Keeping your dog under control: It is a legal requirement that your dog is kept under control at all times.

Dog Fouling: Please ensure that you pick up and dispose of all dog fouling in a responsible manner.  There is a dog waste bin on the grassy area opposite our reception.  This is an ideal toileting area for dogs.

Around the park: Please keep your dog under control and on a lead at all times around the park and on walks. The footpaths have a high footfall and are used by cyclists, walkers and families with young children.

Countryside Code: Please adhere to the countryside code when walking around the woodland walks and footpaths in the area. Please keep your dog on a lead in any fields where there is livestock, especially lambs, and be mindful of ground nesting birds.

Accommodation etiquette: Only well-behaved dogs can be left unattended in the lodge and then only for short periods of time. Dogs should be kept off furniture and beds. If you cannot keep your dogs off furniture and beds, please ensure you bring a blanket or throw to protect the furniture. Use of our blankets is prohibited. Please bring your own dog towels, dog beds and dog bowls.

Any damage or additional cleaning caused by dogs will be charged for.

Restricted Breeds: Certain dangerous breeds are not allowed on park. We do not accept the following types of dogs; XL Bully, American Pit Bull Terrier, Japanese Tosa, Fuila Brasileiro and Dogo Argentino. Any other type of dog which could present a danger or alarm to other visitors is also excluded.

If your dog shows aggressive behaviour you will be asked to leave the park immediately with no compensation.

Charges: Dovestone Holiday Park Ltd reserves the right to charge for damage to the lodge or extra cleaning of furniture.
